By accessing or using the Site, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms, including our Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully.

2. AGREEMENT:

   By accessing and using Poruwa.lk, you [“You”] agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or its services. We may amend these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

3. SERVICES:

   Online Services:

   Poruwa.lk provides online advertising space and services for a nominal fee, allowing You to post personal or third-party content (with their consent) to seek a prospective matrimonial partner [“Matrimonial Advertisement”].

   Offline Services:

   Your advertisement, if selected, may be included in a monthly or bi-weekly magazine distributed across Sri Lanka. Only basic, non-identifying details will be published to protect privacy.

   Important Disclaimer on Matchmaking:​

   Poruwa.lk does not guarantee that any marriage, relationship, or successful matchmaking will result from the use of our services. Our role is limited to providing a platform for advertising and discovery. We do not interfere with, participate in, or influence any post-match communications or decisions. Any conversations or outcomes following a match are entirely the responsibility of the individuals involved.

4. ABOUT US:

   • Poruwa.lk is owned by Serendib Systems Pty Ltd, an Australian company (ACN 637232038) located at 2/15, McEwan Road, Heidelberg Heights, VIC3081, Australia.
   • The Poruwa.lk magazine is published and distributed by Serendib Systems Lanka (Pvt) Ltd (PV129221), headquartered at No.356, Denzil Kobbekaduwa Road, Battaramulla, Sri Lanka.

5. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

   You (and any third party you represent) must:
   1. Be at least 18 years old;
   2. Not be a minor under applicable laws;
   3. Be legally eligible to marry under relevant laws.

6. ADVERTISING CONTENT:

   • You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of the content [“Content”] in your Matrimonial Advertisement.
   • Content includes personal information, images, and other material you upload.
   • All uploaded images will carry a watermark for identification and to deter misuse.
   • We reserve the right to edit or remove any content that breaches these Terms or affects the integrity of Poruwa.lk without prior notice.

   Prohibited Content Includes (but is not limited to):

   • False, misleading, or deceptive information;
   • Offensive or discriminatory content;
   • Content violating third-party rights (e.g., copyright, privacy);
   • Unlawful content under applicable laws.

7. USER RESPONSIBILITIES

   1. You may use the Site only for purposes authorized under these Terms.
   2. You are responsible for ensuring that any content you provide complies with all applicable laws.
   3. You must promptly correct any inaccuracies in your content, and we may verify these corrections before updating them on the Site.

8. REPRESENTATIONS & WARRANTIES:

   4. You and any third party are not restricted by law or third-party contracts from using or authorizing use of personal information for Poruwa.lk or the magazine.

11. WITHDRAWAL & CANCELLATION

    • You may unpublish your advertisement at any time.
    • To remove all content from our databases, please email us with your request.
    • Refunds: Advertising fees are non-refundable once the advertisement is published. Refunds may be requested during the review period, prior to publication.

12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

    All content, design, software, and trademarks on Poruwa.lk are owned or licensed by us and protected by intellectual property laws. No content may be copied, distributed, or reused without our written permission.

13. DISCLAIMER

    We make no guarantees about the Site’s functionality or the accuracy of the content. We are not liable for:
    1. Errors or omissions on the Site;
    2. Site unavailability;
    3. Your use of the Site or content;
    4. Any issues related to third-party software used in connection with the Site.

14. INDEMNITY

    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Serendib Systems Pty Ltd, its affiliates, officers, and employees against any third-party claims, damages, or losses arising from:
    1. Your violation of these Terms;
    2. Your wrongful or negligent conduct on Poruwa.lk.

15. TERMINATION

    This Agreement may be terminated:
    1. Upon expiry of the advertisement term;
    2. If you withdraw your advertisement;
    3. Upon breach of these Terms by you or your represented third party.

    Consequences:​

    We may terminate your access to Poruwa.lk and delete your content without notice.

16. AMENDMENTS

    These Terms may be revised at any time. Revised Terms take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Site after revisions implies acceptance of the new Terms.

17. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

    These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. The Courts of Australia, with the District Court of Victoria as the court of first instance, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes.
